About the Overnight Fitness Center Maintenance Associate Role:

As the Overnight Fitness Center Maintenance Associate, it is your responsibility to keep all areas of the facility immaculate to ensure that members have only the best experience while on the premises. At Planet Fitness, we value a high level of cleanliness not just for our brand sake, but also for the safety of every member and team member.

These responsibilities include:

• Through compliance with Planet Fitness' cleaning guidelines, it is essential to sanitize all shared spaces, for example, the Black Card Spa, changing rooms, and restrooms to avoid germ transmission and keep members from harm.
• Employ the floor scrubber machine and vacuum the floor areas in accordance with the designated timetable.
• It is imperative to dispose of wastes properly and maintain the cleanliness of trash cans and cleaning centers.
• Ensure that there is always an adequate supply of paper products and other necessary items. Collaborate with the Club Manager to disclose inventory demands.
• Prevent accumulation of dust on items located at hard to reach places such as ceiling fans, TV, and rafters by regularly cleaning them
• In case of any broken or missing equipment or amenities in the gym or bathroom, contact the Club Manager for prompt resolution.
• Control and manage the wash and dry cycle of your clothes using the appliances.
• Ensuring that cleaning equipment is properly maintained, including emptying and cleaning the mop bucket, is essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment

The Overnight Fitness Center Maintenance Associate may be tasked with different duties each day, depending on their manager's instructions:

• Offer a friendly and welcoming greeting to members and visitors alike, along with any necessary assistance related to their check-in process.
• Address phone calls with a genial attitude and support customers in resolving any issues.
• Meet sales targets while ensuring accuracy in retail transactions.
• Resolving issues raised by members and escalating them to a manager when the situation demands is a critical part of this job.
• A comprehensive walk-through of all club spaces should be carried out frequently. This will help detect any safety or policy infractions and tackle any cleanliness deficiencies.

• The minimum age requirement is 18

A Fitness Center Maintenance Associate must perform various tasks like emptying trash cans, polishing surfaces, and lifting furniture, making physical endurance a crucial aspect of the job:

• Perpetual movement and traversing various sections of the club to fulfill responsibilities.
• Continuous communication in person or via phone to swap details and keep each other informed throughout the assigned work period.
• The job demands the strength to handle objects weighing 75 pounds or less.
• Workers may come across noxious substances while on duty.
• Continuous upkeep and decontamination of equipment and establishments are crucial.
• Accomplishing necessary tasks may require individuals to change their physical posture by bending, turning, or otherwise repositioning themselves.
