Job Description:

As an Prepared Foods Supervisor, tasks include managing the scheduling and supervision of the team, overseeing the displays for Prepared Foods, coffee, and juice, and ensuring the daily operations of the department run smoothly. Working alongside the Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader(s), the Prepared Foods Supervisor supports the team by maintaining a positive company image while providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to both customers and team members. To maintain the high standards of WFM, all team members must adhere to the team and store Standard Operating Procedures and be able to perform duties inherent in other job descriptions. In addition, team members must support WFM core values and goals, promote national, regional, and store programs and initiatives, and follow applicable health and safety regulations such as Food Safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages and assigns responsibilities to team members in the Prepared Foods department.
  • Collaborates with the Prepared Foods Trainer to create a comprehensive training program that fosters a high-performing team and reduces employee turnover.
  • Assists in the training of newly-hired Team Members by incorporating effective learning checklists and training resources.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, stocking adequacy, and appropriate rotation is crucial for all shelves and cases.
  • Begins and ends department operations in adherence to predetermined protocols.
  • Makes certain that all required rest intervals are observed.
  • Articulates the worries of the team to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader.
  • Demonstrates exceptional retail execution by striving for excellence in every aspect of the job.
  • Creates an atmosphere that promotes exceptional morale, teamwork, and mutual respect.
  • Remains vigilant of customer patterns and requirements and guides staff accordingly to guarantee their contentment and happiness; immediately attends to any customer needs or inquiries.
  • Maintains a high-performing team and reduces turnover rates by selecting, training, developing, mentoring, motivating, and counselling team members.
  • Supplies performance evaluations that are comprehensive, well-timed, and reflective.
