Hilltop Home is currently seeking Full-time and Part-time, Respiratory Therapist , who will provide respiratory care to children with severe developmental disabilities in Raleigh, NC.

About Us:

Hilltop Home is a private, nonprofit, Intermediate Care Facility (ICF/IID) serving a maximum of 22 young children who have severe to profound developmental disabilities and are medically fragile. Hilltop Home provides a comprehensive residential program that includes individualized medical, therapeutic and developmental/educational services. The program is designed to assist young children with multiple disabilities and medical fragility to reach their fullest potential. The care includes medical, therapeutic and educational services provided in an intimate, homelike setting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform all respiratory care related duties.
  • Sets up and administers all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures to patients of all ages in all areas of respiratory care as prescribed by a physician.
  • Responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for short and long-term mechanical ventilation of pediatrics and neonates.
  • Therapists are expected to be self directed.
  • Maintain all department and hospital records and enters accurate information into the medical record for the therapy as given.
  • Perform procedures accurately and in a timely manner, and as described in the policy and procedure manual.
  • Provide Oxygen Therapy via tank, mask.
  • Chest Physical Therapy, IPPB, CPAP, BiPAP Therapy, Airway maintenance, oral, nasal, and tracheal suctioning, Ventilator Operation and monitoring.

Qualification and Skills:

Graduate of a recognized COARC or JRCRTE/AMA Respiratory Care Educational Program. Approved 2 year (AA degree) Respiratory Therapy program, preferred. 2 years previous hospital experience required. Emergency Room, Critical Care, Pediatric, and Neonatal experience preferred. Requirements: Current North Carolina RCP License. Active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. Current Healthcare Provider BLS with AHA required PALS , ACLS, NRP and CPFT encouraged; preferred membership in AARC and/or CSRC. Proof of all required License(s) and Certification(s), and education is due at time of hire.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
