Social Media Analyst

BLD Marketing, one of greater Pittsburgh’s fastest-growing, full-service marketing agencies, seeks qualified candidates for the position of social media analyst to join our award-winning team as our business expands. A newly created role, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who specializes in social media and wants to join a progressive organization focused on excellent client service and a workplace that is flexible and team-centered.
The successful candidate:
- Has earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related profession.
- Has up to three years of professional experience that is focused on social media planning and execution on behalf of brands. Agency experience is strongly preferred.
- Possesses a firm grasp of social media best practices – how to develop a program for B2C and B2B brands, the evolution/impact of individual social media channels and how they drive brand awareness/engagement, paid social media tactics, latest trends, and more.
- Is adept at being directly involved in the execution of a social media strategy on a monthly, weekly, and daily basis.
- Has experience operating on a variety of social media management platforms. Experience with Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and other platforms is a huge plus.
- Has strong project management skills and can successfully handle multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.
- Can work independently and as part of a cohesive team to achieve optimal results.
The social media analyst will be responsible for:
- Assessing the social media presence of prospective and current clients, conducting audits to confirm a client/prospect’s strengths and deficiencies, and delivering an audit with insight and perspective to guide a client’s brand.
- Assisting in the development of full-scale social media programs on behalf of both the agency and its clients, including:
- Creation of content curation strategies
- Selection of channels
- Development of branded series for engagement
- Development and refinement of content calendars for execution
- Collaboration with paid media practitioners on paid social media strategies/tactics
- Development and management of regular social media performance reporting
- Constant management of a multitude of social media communities on behalf of clients and the agency, including:
- Content/image curation
- Development of posts for approval by clients
- Daily posting
- Active listening and monitoring
- Crisis management
- Identification of deficiencies and opportunities based on engagement levels
- Tabulation of metrics/results
- Development and delivery of regular reporting to clients and the agency
