Our client, an Energy R&D Authority who aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, seeks an accomplished Project Manager.

*** Location: 17 Columbia Cir, Albany, NY 12203 (largely remote)

*** Duration: 24 months contract w/ possibility of extension


Notes:

  • Travel: 10-20%. Some in-person meetings at the Albany office may be needed; if candidate is not local to Albany, then travel may be required on a limited basis. Travel expenses are NOT paid.
  • Start date: 6/3/2024.
  • Candidate must have computer, cell phone, and reliable high-speed internet available while remote.


Description:

  • A project manager is needed to oversee execution of the project plan to manage the third-party contractors providing support services to company on various aspects of the program.
  • Work closely with the company Project Manager to ensure timely planning, management, and tracking of prize program operations plan, including analysis, and reporting of related data points and benchmarking across the program's work streams.
  • Identify and assist in troubleshooting problems and issues as they relate to operational activities.
  • Develop strategies and tactics for program implementation, monitoring, and effectiveness and, as necessary, make recommendations on areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal support staff to manage internal processes and approvals.
  • Manage cohort of support service contractors that are collectively helping to administer the prize program.
  • Maintain relationships with company partners and identify opportunities for additional functional partnerships that can add value to the prize program operations and outcomes.
  • Develop materials such as slide decks, written status reports, internal forms, and other documents to communicate the ongoing health and success of prize program to the Steering Committee and external partners.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree; PMP certification is highly desired. 7 - 10 years of experience.
  • Experience within transportation or energy sectors.
  • IT systems that will be used: Salesforce, NEIS, Office365 Suite including MS Project.
  • The desired candidate will have a strong drive to work with the team to advance the state's climate agenda and deliver a program that will benefit disadvantaged communities.
  • This resource must be able to ramp up quickly and take over leading the operations work of the project plan, which has been developed in MS Project.
  • Skilled in managing multiple activities, delivering on commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgment.
  • Experience in managing complex projects or programs with multiple parallel work streams, deadlines, and keeping pace with ambitious timelines; Experience with operational oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication including listening skills.
  • Detailed orientation and task management skills.
