Manager II, Data Analytics - Supply Chain (Sam's Club)

We're currently looking for a Manager II, Data Analytics - Supply Chain to grow our team!

You'll make an impact by...
  • Analyzing data to identify root causes and issues behind member returns: you'll provide data-driven analytical insights and recommendations to mitigate returns, collaborate with internal and external business partners to deep dive into returns resulting from various operational issues, report data-based insights in a uniform manner and serve as the analytics subject matter expert providing advice and guidance on the application of best practices
  • Analyzing and ensuring accuracy of information: you'll create, maintain and evaluate returns data across various sources, perform data cleansing, troubleshoot data discrepancy to maintain high reporting integrity and analyze financial data, key performance indicators, metrics and trends for special and recurring projects
  • Clearly communicating data insights and recommendations: you'll gather research around trends affecting returns and communicate to key stakeholders and executives, provide guidance and advise on next steps, propose improvements and promote the application of insights to support departmental and leadership decisions and goals
  • Maximizing claims recovery: you'll troubleshoot issues related to discrepancies of disjointed data, use data to resolve issues arising during receiving process at returns center operations and partner to provide relevant data to speed up member refund process
  • Developing business intelligence solutions: you'll partner with cross-functional teams, business leaders and other system areas to develop state of the art user interfaces that enable business users to interpret trends and exceptions, ensure solution testing and validation, oversee upgrades and release schedules for business intelligence and database products, manage production of scheduled reports, ensure requirements are met to support implementations and review change implementation before and after production installations
  • Building data models to understand returns: you'll build data models to answer key questions about factors contributing to returns, helping our wide audience to tackle key issues through various solutioning
  • Leading medium sized projects and managing long-term, complex data analytic projects: you'll serve as a technical lead working with project teams and business partners to determine project goals, develop contingency plans for data analysis, determine modeling and identify the need for use of advanced analysis methodologies based on business needs, develop case theories, assess key risks, prioritize and execute work streams and direct the analysis of data to ensure data supports project goals


You'll sweep us off our feet if...
  • You have a proficiency in SQL and experience in statistical programming languages
  • You have 2+ years of experience in business analysis and reporting
  • You have 2+ years of experience using statistical modeling software
  • You leverage dashboards with knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Google Analytics being a plus
  • You can effectively synthesize, visualize and communicate ideas to a wide range of cross-functional partners and executives
  • You leverage data for storytelling
  • You're a strong communicator and excellent team player
  • You have experience with Python
  • You have preferable supply chain experience
  • You have a master's degree in business, analytics or related field
