Primary Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Primary Care Assistant to join our team. As a Primary Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting primary care physicians in providing excellent healthcare services to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting in patient examinations, performing routine procedures, managing medical records, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to primary care physicians in patient examinations and procedures
• Perform routine medical procedures including taking vital signs, administering injections, and dressing wounds
• Assist in managing patient medical records and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Coordinate appointments and schedule follow-up visits for patients
• Educate patients on medication instructions, treatment plans, and preventive care measures
• Assist with triaging phone calls and responding to patient inquiries in a timely manner
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
• Maintain a clean and organized examination room and ensure availability of necessary supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified medical assistant program preferred
• Proven experience working in a primary care setting is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to medical ethics and standards
