LHH (formally Paladin) has partnered with a company in the education industry looking for a Director of Marketing and Public Relations who is a true blend of marcom to build out their communications department and own media duties. This organization is focused on advocacy efforts and has a strong brand reputation to maintain.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marketing and PR pro to join their dynamic team. You will be brought on as an IC but will eventually have a team built out under you and will be responsible for driving and executing comprehensive marketing strategies through digital marketing, brand development, business expansion, content creation, public relations, and strategic marketing budgeting. You will bring your knowledge of marcom strategies and will be working directly with the Chief Communications Officer on defining the brand and consistent messaging. This role is an amazing next step for someone who likes to work autonomously and is skilled in bringing in new communications strategies to define goals while being comfortable handling things like media inquiries, writing speeches, and writing press releases. We are looking for a go-getter who is hungry to drive amazing results.

This role is hybrid in Sacramento, CA and can pay between $90,000-$115,000.

Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, and implements communications strategies to assist marketing department Plans, manages, and supervises the day-to-day operations, activities, and functions related to the marketing function within the Communications Department. Contributes to the creation and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; suggests appropriate service and staffing levels within departmental policy; and oversees the Association's digital presence, including the management and upkeep of numerous websites and related technologies. Takes part in the creation, management, and supervision of departmental budgets. Identifies and tracks workload, administrative and support systems, and internal reporting relationships; creates and standardizes processes and methods to enhance and continuously monitor the efficacy and efficiency of assigned programs, service delivery techniques, and procedures; finds and suggests areas for improvement to the Chief of Communications. Develops, prepares, edits, and administers surveys, including those from other departments and surveys using data obtained by the organization, to the membership. Conducts research and compares communications practices to industry standards, generating performance reports and reporting to the Chief of Communications on our progress. Oversees the production of communications by outside consultants. Prepares information for media outlets to distribute, writes press releases, and answers their requests for information. Prepares c-suite officers and staff for presentations and media appearances by drafting speeches, setting up interviews, and organizing them. Preserves the organizations positive, professional image and identity, as well as its brand standards. Creates and implements short- and long-term strategic and tactical marketing plans to promote a range of services and programs; offers the objectives, target markets, and marketing strategies needed to launch and market the Association's events, products, services, and programs. Proofreads and edits all promotional materials in collaboration with the directors of graphic design and editorial Creates marketing materials that are distributed via bulk email to the membership. Takes part in major client projects as a project director, aiming to guarantee a strategic approach and complete each project on schedule, within scope, and within budget. Manages the creation of fresh content and website updates for the organization, which includes uploading PDFs, revising language related to certain services or programs, and other website-related duties. Determines the most important marketing indicators for every project or program, and on a regular basis, creates reports and updates on the different departmental marketing strategies, analyzing and assessing the strategies' effectiveness. Oversees video production, including the creation and filming of interviews for promotional videos, in order to give general direction and guidance for organization videos, infomercials, and testimonials.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Proven experience in PR/comms roles Strong understanding of digital marketing, brand development, communications, and PR strategies. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
