The Role Tesla has an outstanding opportunity available for an EMS Technician to join the Tesla EMS team at our Fremont, CA On-Site Medical location. The primary role of the EMS Technician is to assist with associate transport on-site following an emergency event. EMS Technicians are also cross-trained to support and function as EMS Responders when required in the care of ill or injured associates. This role reports to the Associate Manager for Emergency Medical Services.

Responsibilities Transport ill or injured associates following a medical event on Tesla property
Respond to the scene of an emergency on Tesla property and effectively triage, treat, and disposition ill or injured associates
Utilize medical equipment and employ procedures including, but not limited to: CPR, AED, cardiac monitor, suction devices, spinal immobilization devices, oxygen, and other procedures and medications required to provide care
Compete transport log reports that accurately reflect the end-to-end locations, associate information, and disposition of transports completed
Complete patient care reports that accurately reflect your scene size-up, assessment of the associate(s), treatment rendered, and disposition
Follow Tesla EMS field treatment guidelines, policies, procedures, as well as those of the respective county LEMSA
Cross-train in skills and procedures that directly support other divisions that include, but are not limited to: Fire Response Team, Environment Health and Safety, and Workplace Health
Assist Associate Manager in the development and maintenance of training hosted by Tesla EMS for Tesla associates, e.g., Stop the Bleed and hands-only CPR
Assist Associate Manager in the oversight and control of projects related to the daily operation of Tesla EMS, e.g., supply logistics, record keeping, upkeep of response vehicles, et cetera
Assist Associate Manager in the development and maintenance of QA/QI projects and reports related to Tesla EMS
Other duties as required by either Tesla EMS or Tesla, Inc

Requirements Current California paramedic license
Current AHA Basic Life Support (CPR and AED) certification (ACLS, PALS, and ITLS or PHTLS highly desired)
Current California Class C driver's license
ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 (ICS 300 and 400 highly desired)
5+ years of experience as a paramedic in a 9-1-1 system
Industrial EMS experience highly desired
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work past scheduled end-of-shift with little or no notice
Ability to lift or carry 200 lbs. or more with assistance
Ability to tolerate wearing multiple different types of PPE for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively in both written and verbal form
Ability to size-up complex emergency situations and employ appropriate medical response strategies and tactics to minimize losses

Ability to act in accordance with Tesla guidelines, as well as state and federal laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and statutes
