Responsibilities:

About the Overnight Gym Hygiene Technician Role:

Ensuring that there is a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation is your primary task as the Overnight Cleaner. Through this, all members of the gym will be able to have the best experience possible. Planet Fitness is a brand that prides itself on its cleanliness and this is why the safety of the team members as well as the members is a top priority.

These responsibilities include:

• The cleanliness of the gym can be maintained by religiously implementing Planet Fitness cleaning standards and thoroughly sanitizing frequently used areas such as the fitness equipment.
• Follow the predetermined timetable to vacuum the floors and use the floor scrubber machine.
• Keep the cleanliness of trash cans and cleaning stations, and dispose of waste accordingly.
• Monitor the availability of supplies and paper products, and make sure they are refilled as required. Keep the Club Manager informed about inventory needs.
• Keep high objects in your home free from dirt and dust by using cleaning tools like dusters or vacuums
• If there are any equipment or amenity malfunctions or absences such as toilets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, report them to the Club Manager immediately.
• Operate the washing and drying appliances for your laundry needs.
• Keeping cleaning equipment in proper working order involves tasks such as emptying and cleaning vacuum bags or replacing mop heads as needed

The responsibilities of an Overnight Gym Hygiene Technician may vary depending on the needs of their work environment:

• Assist guests and members with any doubts or concerns during check-in by greeting them politely as they enter or exit the club.
• Provide courteous service when answering phone calls and aiding callers with their queries.
• Conduct sales transactions with precision and meet sales targets.
• Dealing with member concerns and forwarding them to a higher authority if required is expected in this role.
• Performing routine and in-depth inspections of the entire club is crucial. This will allow you to promptly address any violations of safety or policy and resolve any sanitation issues.

Qualifications:

• Aptitude to work during nighttime hours
• Prioritizing experience in cleaning and sanitizing is valuable
• If you are under 18, you are not eligible

• Basic computer proficiency

The task of cleaning involves physical strength, balance, and stamina, as sweepers and mops are heavy and require a lot of energy to maneuver:

• Consistent standing and mobility within the club to complete job assignments.
• Regular exchange of information through vocal means either in-person or over the phone during the course of a shift.
• The applicant must demonstrate the capability to lift loads up to 75 pounds.
• Hazardous substances are a potential risk during the work shift.
• Regular cleaning and sanitization of equipment and facilities is a must.
• To achieve tasks, individuals can contort their bodies into different orientations, such as by bending or twisting.
