Description:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Network Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As a Field Network Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying network equipment at our customer sites, primarily car dealerships in the Albuquerque area. This role requires a self-motivated individual who excels in both independent work and team collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Install and perform onsite repairs of network products.
• Provide 24/7 support for clients and fellow Field Service Representatives (FSRs) when requested.
• Provide detailed feedback on encountered defects to the National Technical Support organization.
• Respond to and resolve assigned onsite preventative and corrective maintenance calls.
• Deliver high-quality installations and upgrades of all computer equipment sold by CDK.
• Configure and install network devices such as Cisco routers and switches, Meraki switches and wireless access points, Fortigate UTM devices in collaboration with Technical Leads.
• Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner at client sites (e.g., Port Maps, Visio Drawings, Checklists).
• Continuously educate oneself to remain current with new and existing equipment.
• Represent CDK in a professional manner when addressing onsite service-related issues.
• Coordinate shipment of defective modules to NCS and test returned modules for proper sparing.
• Obtain meaningful results from assigned projects approved by supervisor.
• Interface with regional teams on service-related issues.
• Interact with upset clients and resolve potential dissatisfaction effectively.
• Demonstrate superior client relations skills and a solid understanding of CDK business and service strategies.
• Possess strong communication skills and a deep working knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and applications.
• Troubleshoot network issues proficiently and operate test equipment as needed.
• Utilize advanced technical knowledge to isolate and resolve problems with peripheral equipment such as printers.
• Plan projects within established deadlines and coordinate activities/resources to meet client needs.
• Have the physical dexterity to operate various equipment and lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
• Maintain flexibility for regional travel (80-90%) with occasional overnight stays, overtime, and weekend installations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum AA degree in Electronics, Computer Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• CCNA and MCDS Certification preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
