Medical Surgical Nurse - Optum

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Medical Resident. As a Medical Resident, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced physicians and healthcare professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment.

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a variety of medical specialties, including but not limited to internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and psychiatry. You will be responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of attending physicians, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing treatment plans. Additionally, you will participate in medical rounds, attend conferences and seminars, and contribute to research projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians
• Perform physical examinations and document findings in patient medical records
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Participate in medical rounds and contribute to patient discussions
• Attend conferences, seminars, and educational programs to enhance medical knowledge and skills
• Contribute to research projects and assist with data collection and analysis

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Successful completion of an internship program
• Valid medical license
• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of medical practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands
