We are seeking a qualified and experienced Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team. As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting patients' cardiac rhythms and providing accurate reports to healthcare professionals. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and identify abnormalities or changes in the readings
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and notify appropriate healthcare professionals of any significant changes or emergency situations
  • Apply and operate cardiac monitoring equipment correctly
  • Ensure monitoring equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or need for repairs
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' cardiac rhythms and related information
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement appropriate patient care plans
  • Provide support and reassurance to patients and their families during monitoring procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician training program or equivalent experience
  • Certification as a Cardiac Monitor Technician preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and rhythm interpretation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using cardiac monitoring equipment and related software
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills
  • Understanding and adherence to patient confidentiality guidelines
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
