Research Assistant at Gragert Research Chicago, IL

Gragert Research, a background research firm based in Chicago, is seeking a research assistant. GR specializes in political opposition research, corporate due diligence and litigation support. Research assistants work with other members of the GR staff to develop research reports.

Specific research assistant responsibilities include:
Reviewing and summarizing press and online media
Conducting legislative analyses
Searching and analyzing campaign finance records and other regulatory filings
Reviewing and analyzing public government and court records
Other tasks as assigned by the research director

Successful candidates should possess:
Strong written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail
Interest in politics
Familiarity with Microsoft Office

The position is temporary, starting in May and ending in August. The work can be conducted remotely or in our Chicago office and requires a commitment of at least 35 hours per week. Starting pay is $18 to $20 per hour, commensurate with experience.
