Registered General Nurse - Optum

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing appropriate interventions and referrals as necessary
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care services provided
• Provide patient and family education, ensuring understanding of treatment plans and care instructions
• Assist in the coordination and facilitation of patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as professional standards of practice

Requirements

• Valid and current nursing license as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
• Proven experience in providing nursing care to patients in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and various disease processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
