LPN (Pre Operative)

Are you seeking an exciting opportunity in pre-operative care? Join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients before their surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to unit leadership and respond promptly to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Utilize nursing process, judgment, and skills to prioritize and deliver quality direct resident care, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes during the pre-operative phase.
  • Administer standard nursing treatments and medications, closely observing residents for desired or unwanted effects.
  • Collaborate with the care team to revise and update the Nursing Care Plan based on lab/test results, incidents, and concerns related to pre-operative care.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, treatments administered, and residents' responses accurately and comprehensively.
  • Oversee and evaluate the delivery of care for resident Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring competency and adherence to pre-operative protocols.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Nursing.
  • Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN.
  • Committed to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate pre-operative care.
  • Possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to optimal resident health before surgery.
  • Genuine interest in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents during the pre-operative phase.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate harmoniously with all staff.
