Waste Management is accepting applications for the position of Waste Collector, and your responsibilities will include efficient collection and disposal of waste materials. This job entails driving garbage trucks, emptying trash receptacles, and following designated routes for optimal service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient garbage truck operations by adhering to company policies and traffic laws.
- Clear waste receptacles from households and commercial buildings.
- Ensure that waste is disposed of appropriately by emptying trash containers into the garbage truck.
- Follow the prescribed pathways assigned by supervisors and adhere to their guidance.
- Safety must be the top priority, and that means following the established protocols and procedures at all times.
- Ensure the proper functioning of garbage trucks by conducting routine maintenance and inspections.
- Communicate skillfully with both colleagues and superiors to coordinate debt collection activities seamlessly.
Qualifications:
- Students who fail to graduate from high school may obtain an equivalent degree by passing an equivalency exam.
- Holding an unexpired driver's license with no prior driving offenses.
- Safe and effective operation of waste management equipment, including garbage trucks, is a core competency.
- Physical ability and toughness to lift weighty dumpsters repeatedly.
- Keeping a watchful eye on minutiae while adhering to safety protocols is fundamental.
- Proficient communication and coordination proficiency are essential.
- The applicant must show a willingness to handle any work assigned outdoors, regardless of the weather conditions.
- Even though a background in waste management or a related field is desirable, it is not a prerequisite.
