Position is MOSTLY work-from-home. It's a part-time teaching role with great flexibility. There will be a few onsite education events throughout the academic calendar year which would require being onsite in Temple, TX.
JOB SUMMARY
The Simulation Educator is accountable for the delivery of the education, remediation, and organization of educational curriculum. This position will work closely with the BSWH Simulation team, educational affiliates, and faculty.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
- Plans, coordinates, helps and learner curriculum. Ensures teaching priorities, policies, procedures, and content are delivered appropriately.
- Comprehensive help and execution for curriculum including regular assessments under appropriate criteria.
- Helps in scheduling sessions, students and education affiliate's groups for learning, assessment, and remediation sessions if necessary.
- Communicates availability regularly with simulation coordinators and admin help to ensure that comprehensive learner help is available.
- Helps assessment needs related to equipment and purchasing.
- Helps plan for budgetary revisions as learner needs and programs mature.
- Training and assessment of all learner skills as required or requested by educational affiliates.
- Attends and contributes to meetings with educational affiliate team and senior educators and curriculum teams in Temple and educational affiliate campuses.
- Coordinates, implements and creates comprehensive processes in conjunction with Medical Skills Director or requestors specific to Temple campus learner needs and help.
- Utilizes clinical and educational experience to help help curriculum development and creation.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
- Superior teaching experience with knowledge of testing paradigms and hands-on skill assessments.
- Experienced in Microsoft products, especially excel.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Health, Allied Health/Health Sciences, Health Care Administration, Training and Development or related field
- 3 years of Medical Educator experience is preferred.

Emerg Med Tech - Paramedic (EMT-P), Licensed Paramedic (LICPARA), License Pract/Vocational Nurse (LVN), Reg Diag Medical Sonographer (RDMS): Must have one of the following:
EMT-P
LICPARA
LVN
RDMS.
